Hello!
I did another journal page using Ranger's Adirondack acrylic paint daubers and colored pencils. I paint the background with the daubers first and then let the page dry. I pencil in the face. I really like these paints because they are flat and you can erase the pencil if you mess up (not the colored pencils just graphite). After I draw the face I use colored pencils to color her. I then add details with white and black acrylic paint and spray with a fixative.

Journal pages and Swaps
Hello! I have been trying to work on some art I can easily do at night while I watch my shows. Above is a journal page that I first painted with acrylic daubers. After it dried I drew on the lady with colored pencils. I did the same thing for the two pieces below. The first is a pierrot ATC for my ATC swap group at CREATIVE SOULS and the last is a postcard for the other swap group I host there. If you are looking for a good swap group check it out!

ART JOURNALING
I started my first art journal last year when I joined an art journal swap. I don't know why I didn't do one sooner. It is so much easier to experiment and play without pressure to make something perfect.
On this page I first painted it with Ranger's acrylic paint daubers. When that dried I sketched a face then used colored pencils. I used a stencil and a black colored pencil for the lettering but didn't love it so I rubbed it out quite a bit with my finger and went over it with some white acrylic paint. I then sealed the whole thing. I loved using the colored pencils over the acrylic paints. They are flat so it took the pencils great!
In this one the background was already done for me by my swap partner Brenda. I drew this lady and colored with colored pencils.

Flutter Painting on Plywood
This is a 3 x 8 acrylic and watercolor painting I did on plywood. I did the face and butterfly with watercolors and the rest in acrylic. I added black and white acrylic paint to the face and butterfly for highlights and definition. I had to spray a fixitive over the watercolored area before I could seal it so the paint wouldn't fade. I really like the transparency you get with the watercolors and they blend really nice.
I have listed this and others in my Etsy shop. The link is in the sidebar. Thanks for looking!
